Diane Schwarz
Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Textron Inc.

Diane Schwarz is a senior technology executive with experience leading large, global teams. Her scope covers Digital Transformations, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Infrastructure & Cloud Operations, ERP/SAP Applications, Supplier Management and Outsourced Operations. She understands that information technology plays a critical role in the success of a company and, with her leadership and vision, creates a tremendous culture within IT that spans global businesses.

She is responsible for managing the business unit chief information officers and directing the enterprise-wide IT shared services and security functions. Diane manages Textron’s information technology supplier and outsourcing relationships, and is also a corporate officer. She fosters a culture of innovation and continuously invests in the IT culture through multiple communication channels. She is passionate about talent, developing and executing a comprehensive talent management strategy. Previously at Textron, Schwarz was VP & CIO of Textron Systems where she consolidated the company’s technology footprint and enhanced the customer service provided by the information services function. She joined Textron in 2007 as the director of information technology for Bell Helicopter. In the five years that followed, her responsibilities at Bell Helicopter broadened into areas encompassing business application technologies and special projects focused on modernizing technology systems.

Prior to joining Textron, Schwarz served in various senior leadership positions at companies which include Honeywell, Nestle, and Steelcase. She has over 25 years of experience delivering transformations and solid operations across manufacturing, aerospace, and defense industries; supporting functions across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering.

She holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is a board member of NPower, a non-profit organization.
