Revitalizing the Enterprise IT Skill Set

In the past, information technology skills were located mainly in Central IT, and only IT people really understood the platforms and systems on which the firm ran its business.  

But today, much of the new IT that is developing at the front-of-the-firm is consumer-friendly and is led by engineering, sales, marketing, production, and even individual employees. 

In this session, Kirt Mead discussed the new hard and soft skills that Central IT will need (and the old ones it will increasingly abandon) if it is to sustain a vital role as technology moves out of the back office and into the marketplace.
