Plug-and-Play Agility - In a Post-ERP World – report

As businesses face the limits of cost-cutting and seek more growth, they find themselves in a marketplace that is ever-more connected, global and volatile.  To respond effectively, firms must become much more agile – able to rapidly adjust their strategies, offerings and organizations to meet changing business conditions.

To achieve these goals, firms must become increasingly plug-and-play, able to snap capabilities in and out of the enterprise as needed, analogous to the way we connect devices via a USB port today.

This report explores emerging, real world approaches to improving agility in complex business environments, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between traditional ERP systems and emerging front of the firm business requirements.

Watch a video where Kirt Mead discusses the main messages from the research including steps for creating business agility.
