How do we make our executives more digital?

Join us for a full sample day of our 21st Century Human Upgrade Programme, where we will use the latest consumer technology impacting large organizations to demonstrate the art of the possible, as well as deliver practical sessions in seven core capability areas aimed at understanding and improving your 21st century human digital skills.

To maximize the learning, please come prepared (with your laptop) for an interactive, thought-provoking day and participate in both pre- and post-event assessments.  This will enable you to leave having made a plan and personal digital decision to improve/upgrade your digital skills in order to become a 21st century human and help effect change in your business.

Places are limited, so this is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  This event is centred around our paper, Executive Upgrade Required - The 21st century world is developing so fast, it is leaving executives behind.

ATTENDING THIS EVENT WILL HELP YOU:
  • Understand your current level of digital competence and make a plan to improve your skills where necessary.
  • Think through how to upgrade your digital competence and confidence to become a 21st century human.
  • Evaluate your planned development and help make it stick via our 21st Century Human companion app and participation in our 21-day challenge.

Lewis Richards

Researcher
Leading Edge Forum

Lewis Richards, based in the UK, is a researcher and self-styled Digital Chef for Leading Edge Forum.  He is responsible for research into Pro-active, Haptic Sensing and bringing additional value to clients as Head of our 21st Century Human Upgrade Programme Advisory practice, enabling clients to build hands-on digital skills. 

Lewis’ most recent publications are the Technology Trends and Me video series; AI & Me,  Automation & Me and VR & Me which provide insights on today's emerging trends as we try to make sense of the world around us. Prior to this, Lewis authored the report The Field Engineer of the Future – An LEF Xperience Lab Case Study.

Lewis is a seasoned IT leader having spent 16 years working for CSC where he performed a number of UK and International roles within Financial Service and the Corporate Office of Innovation.  Lewis managed the European Innovation Centre for CSC and worked with clients and partners to showcase Next Gen technologies whilst articulating how IT can address the needs of current business problems.

In his previous post, Lewis was responsible for Global Portfolio Management for CSC's Application Business.  This role involved the management of a diverse workforce and the reengineering of the applications business, including the adoption of a globalized portfolio management process and the implementation of product and technology roadmaps.

Lewis is passionate about collaboration and the cultural changes required to enhance business functions.

Lewis has a BSc from the University of Surrey and an MBA in Technology Management from the Open University.

Bob Barker

Digital and Social Media Skills Coach, Leading Edge Forum

Bob Barker is a key facilitator and developer of the 21st Century Human Upgrade Programme, providing immersive digital learning experiences for the 21st century organization.

Bob has over 30 years in the technology industry, working as a marketer in companies including Oracle, SAS, NCR and in smaller software and technology firms in various roles: CMO/Marketing Director, Head of Digital and Social Marketing, Product Marketing, Industry Marketing & Corporate Communications.  As the 'Digital Coach', his focus is on helping people with the digital psychology behind developing 21st Century Human Skills and determining what coaching is required post immersion workshop to make people change and develop.

Bob is a regular publisher, speaker, networker and trainer in social media and the digital skills market.

Bob started his career flying in the Royal Navy and studied Business at Oxford Brookes University.

This session will cover the 21st Century Human Capability model, why it's important for individuals and the organization, the digital psychology behind it and the objectives for the day.

We start with listening and learning, how to get a better context of your customers, markets and competitors and how to research and/or share that information on Twitter and Flipboard.

First of 3 walkarounds This will be an exploration of, and hands-on immersion in, a range of technologies in the field of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality or the Internet of Things/The Matrix.

A chance to network.

  • Tools and Abilities – Your Digital Fabric
  • Experiential Walkaround 2 – AR, VR, IoT

This session will look at personal brand and attendees will have a Digital Brand Profile issued to them as a baseline. We will then look at identifying, publishing, networking, LinkedIn and how we are being scored online.

This session will review your digital fabric in terms of your mobile phone set-up and organization, laptop set-up, security/passwords and use of digital assistants.

Second of 3 walkarounds – This will be an exploration of, and hands-on immersion in, a range of technologies in the field of Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality or The Internet of Things/The Matrix.

  • Collaborate At Speed  and Next steps on Experiences
  • Experiential Walkaround 3 – AR, VR, IoT

During this session, we will review productivity in terms of managing email, focus and distractions, then look at the use of the IFTTT (If This Then That) tool to help automate tasks in order to save time.

You will take an online test to see how open you are to communication online. We will also cover the overload of collaboration tools available and how best to manage them.

Third of 3 walkarounds This will be an exploration of, and hands-on immersion in, a range of technologies in the field of  Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality or The Internet of Things/The Matrix.

  • Enrich Lifestyle and Wellbeing
  • Leading Teams Digital Psychology and The Digital Decision
  • 21st Century App and the 21-day challenge

Lifestyle and wellbeing looks at the huge amount of data we can collect about ourselves to help us live better.  We will take a sleep survey and look and use a guided meditation App.

Based on everything covered during the day, attendees will look in detail at their motivations, priorities and be asked to make a Digital Decision to take personal responsibility to improve. 

You will be introduced to the 21st Century Human companion app and how to use it. You will also be invited to take the 21-day challenge to improve and form new habits, and understand what follow-up coaching is available.

The team will be available for questions or individual coaching.
