Richard Bhanap is a Research Associate for Leading Edge Forum and a leading independent advisor on Digital Business & Technology Strategy & Transformation. Richard is also the author of our report, Digital Leadership in the C-suite.
Richard works with large, complex multinationals to help formulate powerful, business-driven, group Digital and IT strategies, design and manage their global IT functions effectively and deliver tangible business value from their total Digital and IT spend. He has over twenty five years of line management and strategic consulting experience in business and Digital / IT strategy and transformation, over fourteen of those years at Partner level with firms including Accenture, KPMG and Booz & Company (now known as strategy&). He is currently Managing Director of the boutique Digital and IT Strategy & Transformation consulting firm which he started in 2009.
Richard is often called upon to coach senior business executives and CIOs through major IT-enabled business change journeys and has himself played the roles of CIO and Business Transformation Director on an interim basis. He has experience of working on both sides of major IT sourcing deals and renegotiations. Richard is widely published and often invited to speak on topics relating to the CEO agenda for IT and the CIO as business innovator and change agent.
Richard studied at Imperial College in London where he gained a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Computing Science, and at the London Business School and Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he gained a MBA in General Management and Business Strategy.
