For publication in October 2010, the LEF are co-sponsoring a special Journal with Yale University.  The Journal of Industrial Ecology is a peer-reviewed international journal owned by Yale University, published by Wiley-Blackwell and headquartered at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.

Even if all of the world's computers could be run with solar or wind power, we would only reduce world energy consumption by 2 per cent.  The great opportunity for information technology is to help reduce energy usage and pollution across the remaining 98 per cent.  In this special journal issue, Yale University's Journal for Industrial Ecology will enlist experts from all around the world to identify and explore leading edge applications of IT in areas such as building management systems, traffic control, telecommuting, toxin tracking, smart products, and other areas.
